Ware is a historic market town and the high street boasts a variety of quaint shops, cafes bars and restaurants to suit all, with the River Lea flowing through the centre of Ware which in the summer months a boat trip along the river to Hertford offers shoppers an alternative route into another historical town, there are walks and cycle tracks along the tow path from Ware to Hertford's Hartham Park, and to London. Ware still has an open air swimming pool, during two weeks of the summer months. Ware Council holds the 'Ware Festival', there is Wodson Park Sports Centre, with an athletics track, and Hanbury Manor hotel and country club. Ware lies on the north-south A10 and A414. Located between Hertford and Hoddesdon.
And for the commuter Ware railway station is on the Hertford East Branch Line offering commuting links to London Liverpool Street.
